Medal made on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the death of D.J. Mercier, in memory of the Conversations of Mechelen.
The "Conversations of Mechelen" took place from 1921 to 1925 at the archdiocese of Mechelen between the primate of Mechelen, D.J. Mercier and the Anglican Church in the person of Charles Lindley Wood, Viscount of Halifax and lazarist Fernand Portal. Bishop D. J. Mercier died in 1926.
